Master Dr. Su Yu-Chang is the director and original founder of the Pachi Tanglang Martial Arts Association which encompasses the styles of Northern Praying Mantis, Bajiquan, Piguazhang, Xingyiquan and Taijiquan. Master Su also holds a Doctorgrade in Chinese medicine and teaches Chinese Philosophy.

As a diciple of the legendary Chinese martial artists Zhang De-Kuei, Wei Xiao-Tang, Li Kun-Shan and Liu Yun-Qiao, Master Su began his study of martial arts at an early age. A chinese national kung-fu champion by the age of fourteen, he was dubbed "lightning fist" by the martial arts community and has since been known by that name. In 1968, he won the all-round Gold Medal as a member of the Taiwanese national team competing at the International Martial Arts Championship in Malaysia.

Master Su received a Doctorgrade in Chinese Medicine and later taught medicine, philosophy, and martial arts at Taiwan's National University, the Pedagogical Institute, Fon Chia University and Fu Yen University. He acted as Director of Martial Arts for the Chinese Olympic Games and served as a combat instructor for the Taiwanese Military School.

In 1978, Master Su travelled to Venezuela where he taught at Venezuela's Central University and established the Pachimen Institute of Venezuela. He then became vice-president of the South American Martial Arts Federation.

In 1989, he relocated to Spain, where he trained special security teams for the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona and established new branches of Pachi Tanglang Martial Arts in Barcelona and Mallorca.

Master Su-Yu-Chang is the author of five books on Chinese martial arts and philosophy, as well as six instructional videos on Mantis, Baji, Bagua and Taiji. Pachi Tanglang Martial Arts has branches in Taiwan, Japan, Spain, New York, Venezuela, Malaysia, Switzerland, Norway, Colombia, Argentina and Holland.
